Vehicle Motion Division (VM)
One division devoted to safe & comfortable vehicle control
The Vehicle Motion Division is comprised of five technical fields: vehicle motion management, braking, steering, passenger safety systems and vehicle dynamic sensors and focuses on development of solutions for vehicle control and safety related functions. In the area of vehicle control, we have brake boosters to support the “Stopping” function of a vehicle, the electric stability program ESP® to prevent accidents, electric power steering that performs the "Turning" function, and vehicle motion management, a software package that provides integrated vehicle control. In addition, our product portfolio includes the sensors necessary for controlling important safety functions such as ESP® and airbag control units that reduce the impact of collisions.
